Founded by attorneys Nick Hannawa and Shawn Hirmiz in 2015, Hannawa Hirmiz Law PLLC is guided by the principles of honesty, transparency, and placing our clients first. Nick and Shawn are brothers-in-law, they attended Thomas M Cooley Law School together and upon graduating formed Hannawa Hirmiz Law PLLC.
Nick and Shawn realized that many clients they encountered were coming from other law firms where they weren't getting the treatment they deserved. They formed Hannawa Hirmiz Law PLLC, a family owned firm with the intent of treating their individual clients as family and providing them with a more pleasant legal experience. From meeting clients on weekends to giving out their personal cell phone numbers and taking calls 24 hours a day, their clients feel more like family than actual clients.

Nick Hannawa
Nickolas K Hannawa is a successful attorney who has been practicing law in Michigan since 2014. He is also a business and property owner, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. His strong ethical beliefs and commitments to the community are traits he uses every day in all his endeavors. Nickolas was born and raised in Oakland County, Michigan where he now resides with his wife Shannon and son Kingston. He attended high school at Orchard Lake St. Mary's and went on to attend undergraduate at the University of Detroit Mercy College where he obtained his bachelors degree in Political Science and Pre-Law. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2013 and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2014.
Mr. Hannawa, while in law school, spent time as an extern for the Macomb County Prosecutors office where he developed a passion for criminal law. It was there that he realized many offenders were good people who may or may not have committed a crime, but none the less deserved a fair chance at fighting the legal system. In fact, it was through that experience that Mr. Hannawa earned a passion to help clients as if they were his own family and its this passion to help clients succeed which has led him to where he is today. His objective is to help people navigate difficult situations by providing effective, affordable, and knowledgable legal advice to his clients.
Mr. Hannawa is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the Chaldean American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Sheriffs Advisory Council for Oakland County and the Marijuana Law Section for the State Bar.
Now, through his firm Hannawa Hirmiz Law PLLC, he is able to provide a wide range of legal services to those in need.

Shawn Hirmiz
Shawn F. Hirmiz is a partner and co-founder of Hannawa Hirmiz Law PLLC. He is dedicated to providing the highest quality of representation for every client in need of legal counseling in the areas of commercial transactions, family law, litigation, estate planning, and contract law. He began his career as an extern at the State Appellate Defenders office in Detroit Michigan, where he worked diligently to help wrongly convicted persons file appeals on their court rulings. He then moved on to intern at general practice law firms in both Oakland and Macomb Counties. In 2016 Shawn, along with his business partner Nick Hannawa, founded Hannawa Hirmiz Law PLLC with the intention of providing their clients with the best representation imaginable.
Shawn's wide-ranging experience has allowed him to represent a variety of clients. His experience has allowed him to fight for major corporations as well as individuals looking to purchase or start their first small business. He also has experience with helping families who are in need of representation and guidance related to sensitive issues such as divorce and estate planning. His know-how and attention to detail, gained from both his internships and his five years of field experience as an Attorney, is invaluable in addressing the legal needs of his clients. Shawn has had much success in conducting both jury and bench trials which gives him the unique ability to represent clients throughout all phases of their cases. He uses his skill as an effective negotiator and litigator to fight for his client's rights from the beginning to the very end of every case. He upholds his reputation as an experienced and assertive attorney who obtains exceptional results for his clients.
Mr. Hirmiz is licensed to practice in Michigan State and Federal Courts, including the Eastern District of Michigan District Court and Eastern District of Michigan Bankruptcy Court.
